NOTE: This article may include commentary reflecting the author’s position.
Tucker clearly hit a nerve with a pair of speeches on Wednesday. Leftists on both sides of the 49th parallel are losing their minds over what he said.
Carlson has occasionally mentioned his deep appreciation for the naturally beauty of Canada and the polite Canadian people, and so he is addressing the nation because he is concerned about the way that the West collapsing due to decisions made by political leaders.
So what did he say that was so offensive?
He spoke about the rapidly changing culture, the high-stakes of the new trends that are taking hold in many Western nations, and what needs to be done to change things. You know, the kind of thing that conservatives are concerned about — conserving culture and not chasing down every fad.
He touched on issues facing Canadians — the drug crisis and the tacit approval of fentanyl and other hard drugs that are killing people, the expansion of assisted suicide, mass immigration, and the absurdity of Canada’s current ruling party. Carlson also joked about the ridiculousness of the current Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, and a few other Liberal cabinet members.
It was an entertaining mix of serious commentary and humor, which is probably why it flew right over the head of leftists.
Ahead of his arrival, Carlson called the Prime Minister’s office to do a little trolling:

Like millions of Canadians, Carlson is not a fan of Trudeau.
There are, however, a lot of Canadians that love Carlson — the two events in Alberta on Wednesday were sold out. In Calgary, a matinee appearance drew 4,000 attendees, while 8,000 packed the stadium where the Edmonton Oilers play hockey.

Canadian news coverage called Carlson “far-right” and “controversial” and tied him to former President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.
The leftwing politicians are freaking out and jumping to the predictable lines calling the event “deplorable.”
One Liberal politician went so far as to say that Alberta Premier Danielle Smith had summoned “the dogs of MAGA conservatism” into Canada.
Is he comparing Tucker Carlson to a dog? I’m pretty sure that dehumanizing language like that qualifies as a human rights violation according to Canadian law, but he’s a Lib, so it’s fine.
The Environment and Climate Minister (and ex-Greenpeace activist terrorist,) Steven Guilbeault, who was arrested for trespassing on the property of a former Alberta Premier, the late Ralph Klein, and frightening his wife for a political stunt, said that public criticism of his climate extremism by Carlson is dangerous.
Guilbeault said he felt “targeted” by Wednesday’s Smith-Carlson fireside chat, which was focused on energy and recent power usage alerts in Alberta, when the electrical grid was severely strained by frigid temperatures.
“This increases political violence against everyone who runs for office in this country,” he said.

To be clear, this guy is serving in this portfolio at the behest of the guy with an affinity for dark-skinned stage makeup and called people who chose not to get the COVID vaccines racist, misogynist extremists and wondered how they could be “tolerated” in society.
Speaking of people who are completely clueless that they are the ones lobbing bombs in the culture war, let’s turn to American news.
The Canadian political correspondent for POLITICO and Ottawa resident (my sympathies), Zi-Ann Lum, couldn’t resist dragging the Bad Orange Man into the report on Tucker Carlson’s Alberta visit.
Carlson’s two-stop tour of Canada brings MAGA to its heartland just as Trudeau’s government is suddenly consumed by how it would respond to a second Donald Trump presidency…
…Trudeau’s inner circle has been gaming out how the specter of Trump’s comeback — and the intrusion of MAGA apologists like Carlson into Canadian commentary — could influence the Liberals’ odds in the next federal election.

In a second article, Lum derides Carlson for amplifying “the American-style culture war” in Canada while lambasting him for cultural commentary and jokes while not directly quoting what it is that he said.
“With speeches in Alberta that trashed Canada’s government, mocked LGBTQ people and knocked mainstream media, Carlson triggered outrage in Ottawa and furnished himself to the Trudeau team as an irresistible political target,” writes Lum.
“On stage in Calgary, Carlson made jokes about the LBGTQ community and used the prime minister as a punchline,” she writes, adding, “The audience laughed along.”
Her evidence of these claims? “Trust me, bro.” There are no quotes of Carlson’s alleged mockery of the Rainbow crowd.
She didn’t even quote the jokes that he made about the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s adventures in blackface and his affinity for donning costumes, which would have explained the making the Prime Minister a punchline. (To be fair, Trudeau did that to himself, but whatever.)
Is Lum suggesting that it’s hurtful to make a politician the butt of a joke? Because she must not have watched literally any late night comedy show ever.
But she did manage to add in a few swipes of her own in her journalisming.
The former prime-time star who reportedly earned $20 million a year at Fox News warned the Calgary crowd that their wealth and power is threatened by Ottawa politicians.
His afternoon show offered two hours of catharsis during which the former Fox News anchor made the case for rage as a sensible response to anything Canadians might be experiencing in these post-pandemic days.

You can tell she’s not a fan. She’s also pretty clearly so jealous.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Lum thinks she’s just much smarter than Carlson and deserves greater accolades and income than he is getting by appealing to the unwashed masses.
While Lum sprinkles in old quotes Carlson from his former Fox News show, the only quote she includes from his speeches in Alberta is at the very end of her article. It’s from his Calgary address advising Canadians that it’s time to shed a bit of the politeness and grow a pair. It’s a message that Canadians desperately need to hear.
From her article:
“You need to change inside. Your attitudes need to change and your timidity needs to be replaced by bravery,” he said before throwing in a bit of conspiracy theory to complete his point.
What is the conspiracy theory?
Lum doesn’t say. You’ll have to watch his “Liberating Canada” speech in Calgary to see what it is.
Fortunately, we have it for you here:

It’s pretty clear that this attack on Carlson is to prevent his message from being spread.
You know what to do — Sharing is caring. (And it’ll tick off Lispy Blackface Hitler.)
