Have you ever met someone who was happy about being punished for doing the right thing?

The Church has gotten weird, man. Obviously not all churches, but evangelical big-box churches, and their wannabe smaller ogler assemblies.

Have you got someone who hates you? Good. It probably means you’re making a difference in the world.

It isn’t a question of personality. Every one of the disciples scattered when Jesus was arrested. But post-resurrection…? Bold as lions.

Ever see a preacher drop dead when the visiting evangelist calls out his sin? This guy did. And you can imagine the altar call that followed.

It’s easy to stand in a pulpit and waste everyone’s time. It’s amazing how many of today’s preachers follow exactly that script.

Most preachers wouldn’t touch this with a ten-foot pew.

It’s when you get squeezed that you find out what’s REALLY inside you. Just a few weeks after scattering to the four winds and denying they even knew Jesus, we’re seeing His Apostles are now filled with something… different.

There is no reason two ragtag fishermen standing up to the guys standing at the crossroads of political, financial, religious and cultural power should have a snowball’s chance of coming out the other side, let alone coming out on top.
