Remember the time JD Vance blasted Europe (including the UK) for failing to uphold the values of a free people? THIS is exactly the sort of insanity he was calling out.
By now, most of us have heard about the case where a college freshmen was stabbed four times by a Sikh guy, only to be handcuffed and left to die. It’s a REAL example of what we’ve been told the George Floyd case is about, with both dying men saying some of the same words. In Henry Nowak’s case, depending on when the light went out of his eyes, they may have been reading miranda rights to a corpse.
The British cop didn’t even take the stabbing claim seriously, choosing instead to believe the guy in the turban’s claim that Henry had said something racist-y. Hurty words were taken more seriously than fatal knife wounds.
After the murder conviction and more importantly, after the damning body cam footage showed the (what looks to be) culpable negligence of the police have they backpedaled and made a mea culpa. Too little, too late for most Britons who have since learned that explicitly racist DEI-style assumptions baked into policing policy look VERY much like the actual mishandling of the case as Henry bled out in their custody.
Police came close to making a public statement CRITICAL of the murdered man, and public conversations about him that could have interfered with the criminal hearings of the man now doing time for his murder.
Notice the authoritarian instinct to silence ‘disinformation’ is measured by the reputational damage it can have to the authoritarian state, and NOT to the factual content of said ‘disinformation’.
In this case, they labeled valid criticism of their own wrongdoing as ‘disinformation’ and would gladly have used their government monopoly on force to compel the silence of their critics… while defaming an innocent man whose death they had a direct hand in orchestrating.

They also had video footage of the killer talking to his brother in their native tongue.

Two days after Henry died Hampshire Police secretly recorded Digwa in a police van speaking Punjabi to his brother. Digwa admitted stabbing Henry. Discussed claiming self defence. Made zero mention of racial abuse. Not one word.

The whole ‘diversity is our strength’ claim would be easier to believe if the rule of law applied equally to all people, instead of having us-and-them standards for different groups (of whichever criterion).
Equality under the law is what MADE for a free people in the Christian West in the first place.
Our very notion of fighting for civil rights sprang from such places where we saw an area of society in which such equality did not yet fully apply… pushing us toward a ‘more perfect union’.
We abandon those standards — on either side of the Atlantic — at our own great moral peril.
