Obama, Bush, & Clinton NGO Brings Even MORE Migrants Into The U.S.

A network of pro-migrant NGOs are working together to bring more migrants into the United States and one of them has the nod from a group of former U.S. Presidents.

Eric Lendrum over at American Greatness pointed out something that flew under the radar back in April — a trio of former presidents, a pair of Democrats and a squish Republican, are listed as “honorary co-chairs” of a non-governmental organization committed to bringing asylum-seekers into the United States.

The organization, Welcome.US, lists former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Jimmy Carter along with their spouses as “Honorary Co-Chairs” on their Leadership page.

Welcome.US was launched after Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan which forced thousands of Afghan allies to flee to the United States. It was then expanded to address Ukrainians seeking refuge from the war.

Welcome.US says it this way, “Launched in response to the extraordinary challenge of resettling first our Afghan allies after the fall of Kabul in 2021, and then Ukrainian newcomers displaced by war, Welcome.US mobilizes Americans to help resettle newcomers seeking safety in the U.S.”

The organization’s goal is “to unleash the desire and capacity of people across America to build a bridge to safety for people seeking refuge in the United States and help them thrive.”

They are doing this by partnering with American Express Global Business Travel and Miles4Migrants to raise money to bring migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Ukraine, and Nicaragua into communities across the United States.

Miles4Migrants explicitly states on its FAQ page that they do not assist anyone with a sponsor, nor do they help with obtaining a visa, housing, or legal services. They just pay for airfare for migrants.

And of course, there’s a connection to George Soros’s Open Society Foundation.

“[Welcome.US] also has ties to billionaire George Soros, as members of his Open Society Foundation sit on the group’s ‘National Welcome Council,'” reports Breitbart.

Welcome.US was originally launched for the purpose of bringing in at least 85,000 Afghan refugees, and also has ties to the far-left billionaire George Soros and his Open Society Foundation. The new coalition between Welcome.US, Miles4Migrants, and American Express Global Business Travel will seek to raise money to import illegals from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Ukraine.
“Donations are needed to fund the flights for newcomers to travel to the United States,” the initiative’s webpage openly declares. “Those forced to flee often leave behind all but what they can carry, and the costs of international travel can be prohibitive. Welcome Connect Travel removes the cost of travel as a barrier for both sponsors in the United States and the displaced families they are supporting through humanitarian sponsorship.”
This new effort by the NGO is in addition to ongoing importation efforts by the Biden Administration, with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) chartering flights to bring illegals further into the interior of the United States.

With all of the political chatter on the right focused on debating funding the war in Ukraine, the Southern Border Crisis, inflation, the congnitively-declining President, his incompetent staff including the cackling Vice President who is less popular than syphillis, lawfare against the current Presidential front-runner as well as the weaponization of government against “We The People”, this just got buried in the news cycle.

Welcoming people who are fleeing war and persecution is a good thing, and consistent with Western values, but the United States — and other prosperous Western nations like the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Sweden, Germany, etc. — cannot absorb everyone from everywhere looking for a “better life.”

The problem is that the asylum system is currently being inundated by economic migrants — those very people seeking a “better life” either by shooting their shot at the American Dream or by moving to a wealthy country with an extremely generous social safety net that is routinely abused.

With the literal millions of illegal aliens entering from the now wide open Southern Border at a rate that is exponentially higher than what Obama’s DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson called a “crisis”, maybe we need to look at revamping the whole damned system to not let economic migrants create a decade-long backlog for an asylum hearing. That’s not fair to legitimate refugees, nor is it fair to the legal immigrants who spent the time and money to come in the front door instead of breaking in through the window.

And, no, Democrats, that doesn’t mean granting asylum to millions upon millions of people who showed up after the Biden administration tossed out the welcome mat and still contemplates what the “root causes” could possibly be. The whole thing needs to be examined soup-to-nuts and actually closing the border is just the first step.

You’d think that former Presidents would understand this, but apparently not.

Maybe they need to meet more legal immigrants who have to navigate a difficult, expensive, and confusing system that is often fraught with paperwork problems, delays, shady lawyers, and incompetent bureaucrats who tell you one thing and their colleague tells you the opposite.  This entire red-carpet roll-out for illegals is completely insulting to the people who did things the right way.

Welcome.US pairing up with NGOs that are actively attempting to circumvent the laws in place and give those organizations legitimacy by attaching the names of 4 former Presidents is just wrong and will only set back any real change that could improve immigration.

But improving immigration isn’t the goal — it’s unfettered migration at all costs.

The globalists want every American town to become a border town.
