That 5-4 SCOTUS ruling on the Birthright Citizenship issue is already having real-life consequences.
When it upheld the assertion that being born in America, regardless of whether the parents were lawfully in the country or held even the faintest loyalty to the American system of jurisprudence becomes a citizen by dint of being born within America’s borders.
That’s a loophole foreign nations — and even hostile ones like the CCP — have been more than happy to exploit, as seen in one company’s billboard advertising exactly such a service.

Texas Governor Gregg Abbott has responded to news of this exploitation by instructing his Texas Health And Human Services Commission calling out one birth tourism racket by name to investigate and in all likelihood, shut it down.
Governor Greg Abbott today directed the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to launch an immediate and thorough investigation of Mission Regional Medical Center. Reports show the hospital targets foreign nationals with “birth packages in South Texas” to profit from birth tourism that grants U.S. citizenship to children born in the United States.
“Birth tourism is an illegal practice that exploits the extraordinary hospitality that the United States and Texas offer to millions of foreign travelers each year,” said Governor Abbott. “Thousands of foreign travelers come to the United States under false pretenses to give birth and secure citizenship for their children. HHSC must investigate the hospital, a facility it regulates, for any violations of state law and contractual obligations.”
Under the directive, HHSC must immediately refer violations to the Attorney General for civil enforcement and to the appropriate District or County Attorney for criminal prosecution. HHSC will also impose administrative sanctions and penalties on Mission Regional Medical Center.
This action reflects Governor Abbott’s ongoing commitment to protecting the integrity of American citizenship, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring that Texas institutions are not exploited by those seeking to circumvent legal immigration processes. — Governor Abbott’s office
Shutting down the shady operations that help some foreign operative get a foothold into American citizenship they would otherwise be disqualified for is a little like trying to stop the incoming tide with a bucket. The real solutions will require legislation.
The SAVE America Act is a good start.
Clarifying language on who, exactly, qualifies for citizenship and emphatically ( in examples like CCP billionaires paying scores of surrogates to carry a child to term on American soil before whisking them home to be raised in a hostile culture) who does NOT.
