The Times story is just the first of many dominoes to fall here. And is anyone surprised CNN stayed on the stupid side of this issue?
Dems assumed the public (and the media) were so dumb and/or corrupt that they could get away with this. They were mistaken.
In fairness, they had every reason to expect the media would have their back after how they’ve defended the indefensible with Nazi tattoo guy, and his cousin-marrying replacement, Jihadist apologists, cheerleaders of Chairman Mao, open communists, and whatever the hell Talarico is. That’s without looking back in time at Senator ‘Gold Bars’ Menendez, or Eric “bang bang fang fang” Swalwell, the no-primary return of Biden/ascension of Kamala and media blackout on Biden family bad news ranging from memory loss to wholesale corruption.
So why WOULDN’T Dem operatives expect to get a free pass on dirty tricks engineered to rig an election in their favor way up in Alaska where nobody really notices what’s going on?
They went looking for a doppelgänger. They found one. And they ran him against the incumbent hoping to bleed names off the ballot.
They knew Dan Sullivan would cry ‘bloody murder’. They did NOT know anyone would take it seriously. But with the DOJ looking into possible criminality in the case, NYT has made the decision to get ahead of the story to look like they still have some shred of integrity. We leave our readers to decide if this was because they HAVE some shred of journalistic integrity, or because they don’t want to go down with a sinking ship.
Whatever their ‘why’, they broke the story that Democrat operatives were involved in a year-long scheme in deceiving voters with the express intention of bleeding off votes to give the Democrat candidate an advantage.

The Sunday shows featured News anchors apoplectic about the DOJ ‘interfering’ in the Constitutional role of States determining their own elections, but getting called out for failing to quote the clause immediately AFTER the one they invoked. ClashDaily covered that earlier this week.
Dan Sullivan said what we’ve all been thinking, that the scheme to trick Alaskans treated voters like they were stupid. (Hardly a new tactic for Dems to pull, by the way. Just look at all the ‘I’m a moderate’ Trojan horses who turn out to be somewhere left of Bernie once the get sworn in.)
🚨 JUST IN: The REAL Sen. Dan Sullivan just TORCHED Mary Peltola for running a YEAR-LONG scheme to trick Alaskans, and treating them like they’re STUPID
“The candidate I’m running against had a SCHEME for over a year to try to TRICK Alaskans, and that shows TOTAL CONTEMPT for the people of the state of Alaska.”
They were treating Alaskans like they’re kind of STUPID.”
“We’re NOT stupid. We’re SMART. And we know we shouldn’t be electing a CORRUPT SENATOR who’s been lying to the Alaska people directly to their FACES for over a year!”

Whoops. As it happens, this timing is REALLY embarrassing for RINO Murkowski, who picked the same day to ‘break news’ that she prefers Democrats to Republicans.

Congrats, Lisa. You just played yourself. And if Alaskans nix ranked voting and go back to regular primaries, you’re in for a rude awakening.
For our next clip in the Alaskan tour of self-owner-y (if it’s not a word it should be), cue the montage of “no one is above the law” Democrat tweets:
Mary Peltola in August: "It should be a criminal offense to lie or mislead the electorate."

As the DOJ affirms they are looking seriously into this case:
BREAKING: Colleague @davidspunt reports via two sources familiar that there is an ongoing DOJ "aggressive criminal investigation" into Daniel J. Sullivan appearing on the ballot for US Senate in Alaska, and the investigation has intensified in the wake of the bombshell NYT report today.
DOJ sources tell David that multiple grand jury subpoenas will be issued in the coming hours and days, and there are preservation orders to cell phone companies that are being prepared regarding text messages and emails that may build a timeline for how Daniel J. Sullivan was placed on the ballot.
The investigation is being handled by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Alaska and federal prosecutors are interested in potential charges relating to the depravation of rights of Alaska voters. The investigation is expected to go beyond Election Day and has been underway for several months.

The President has weighed in with an interesting wrinkle about testimony given under oath about this very case:

A senator raised another issue…

Leave it to CNN to defend the indefensible.
I know this won’t come as a shock to anyone, but CNN analyst and ‘The View’ co-host Ana Navarro tries to "both-sides" the Alaska Democrats/Dan J. Sullivan story https://t.co/263FzRyykU
— Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) October 28, 2026
Sadly, Anna Navarro is NOT very good at this game.
Really, Anna? It’s ‘OK’ because someone else did it?
And yet you say that person was charged and convicted?
By that logic, if the other person was charged and convicted, what POSSIBLY makes Alaska acceptable?
Especially when the challenger herself looks to be connected to the conspiracy. (And yes, we all know the adage about allegations not being the same as rulings of guilt by a judge.)
It kinda sounds like you’d be cheering for her arrest. So you agree with Trump and the original Dan Sullivan.
Well done, I guess?
