Have you ever met someone who was happy about being punished for doing the right thing?
Not ‘yelled at on social media’ kind of punished. The real kind. Like losing a job or a relationship?
Looking back at the pandemic, probably many of us reading this have. But what if we raise the stakes? Taking a beating or doing time for doing the right thing?
We’re more likely to cry out to God about the injustice we had received than to thank Him for how we got our teeth kicked in, right?
Of course we would. It’s human nature. That’s what makes this passage so mind-blowing. We’re seeing people go above and beyond mere ‘human nature’ to something that can only be explained by the grace of God.
Imagine how different the world would be if every believer shared this same courageous selflessness…
